Quartz Halogen AMB-50 Moisture Analyser - a new concept in tea moisture measurement where the heat input from twin quartz halogen tubes is electronically maintained at a pre-set product temperature to give the very fastest drying times without burning. 230 VAC 50 Hz, 800 W. Simple operation: automatic sample weighing, automatic heat control, then automatic shut off when drying is complete. Typical measurement time for made tea is three minutes, for withered leaf (CTC dhool) is 15 minutes. On completion, the measured tea moisture is digitally displayed as a percentage. Moisture in Bulk Tea -
we have evaluated many systems claiming to make an instant reading for moisture of tea in bulk. Many fail to perform. The only equipment we feel happy to supply for this use is the HYGROMER M1. This hand held instrument works on the physical principle that the humidity of air between and around tea particles is directly related to the moisture of that tea. When inserted into bulk tea the instrument senses and displays the equilibrium humidity (ERH) within the bulk - this reading is easily converted to tea moisture content. A rapid non destructive testing method. Can be used for tea in bulk, in paper sacks, and in chests.
